Located in Yiwu, Zhejiang province, the project is mainly responsible for handling inbound and outbound mails in Jinhua, Quzhou, Lishui, and Yiwu, and transferring some outbound mails in Zhejiang province. The maximum daily processing capacity of the project reaches 12 million pieces and 3 million mail sacks, making it a major project with the highest level of automation and the largest processing capacity for the company in recent years. Economic development has led to a boom in imports and exports. As the increasing volume of express delivery services has put higher requirements on the timeliness and accuracy of logistics services, business operations of the customer are under greater pressure.
Under the continuous pressure of many orders, the sorting center needs to ensure sorting accuracy while maintaining sorting efficiency. Manual sorting only cannot meet the sorting requirements.
In the first phase of the project, the process flow combines automated matrix pivot wheel sorting systems with high-speed sorting systems, with mail sacks and large express parcels being directly transferred by the automated matrix pivot wheel sorting systems and small express parcels being quickly sorted by the high-speed sorting systems. All types of mail can be processed automatically. The processes, including mail unloading, picking, sorting, loading, delivery, and transportation, are streamlined and without breakpoints, enabling fast in and out.
Matrix pivot wheel sorter area for large parcels: There are three automated matrix pivot wheel sorting systems, with a total of 32 rough sorting lines and 31 fine sorting lines. The main line speed is 2 m/s and the total peak processing capacity of the three systems is 154,000 mail sacks/h.
Small parcel sorting and parcel collection areas: There are three double-layer small parcel cross belt sorting systems, each with 28 infeed stations and a maximum of 411 discharge points, using a 4-end infeed mode. The total peak processing capacity of the three sorters is 180,000 pph. The small parcel sorters innovatively use rope pull emergency stop switches and locking pull-out baffles to fully exert the efficiency of the equipment.
Unloading area: The unloading area combines “hump” telescoping belt conveyors with incline belt conveyors to merge two unloading lines into one sorting line, thus effectively improving the unloading efficiency.
