Project footprint: 60,000 ㎡ Number of storage locations: 35,000 The project is located in Guangdong Province. As a leader in the electric vehicle manufacturing industry, the customer integrates the R&D, production, sales, operations, and service of the whole industrial chain of electric bicycles, electric motorcycles, electric mopeds, electric tricycles, intelligent shared electric vehicles, intelligent charging piles, and power exchange cabinets. In the process of business development, it is necessary for the customer to build an intelligent and dense AS/RS project for finished products and after-sales accessories, with a construction area of over 60,000 ㎡. The construction area of the finished product warehouse is 58,000 ㎡, and that of the after-sales accessory warehouse is 2,000 ㎡. The customer intends to realize the seamless connection from logistics decisions to business processes through scientific management.
Project footprint
Number of storage locations
Maximum number of pieces/pallets handled in a single day
Inbound and outbound efficiency
This project needs to realize the automated storage of 100,000 electric vehicles and the construction period is tight. The installation and commissioning of a large amount of equipment need to be efficiently coordinated in a limited time to ensure that the system is put into use on time.
In view of the position deviation of electric vehicles during storage, it is necessary to work closely with the customer to jointly develop customized pallets and their fixing devices. The design of these non-standard basic units should not only ensure the stable storage of electric vehicles, but also promote operation convenience and the overall compatibility of the system.
There are many types of SKUs in this project and most of them have a small number of individual SKUs, which increases the complexity of inventory management and scheduling difficulty. It is necessary to divide the hot and cold areas for scheduling and optimize the inventory distribution through intelligent algorithms, to improve the accuracy and efficiency of scheduling.
The project needs to realize the automated inbound and outbound operations of about 15,000 electric vehicles every day, and provide different scheduling strategies for the different demands of warehouse capacity and inbound and outbound operation efficiency in off-peak seasons, peak seasons, and different stages.
After fully understanding the customer's needs and on-site investigation, Wayzim customized the solution of intelligent and dense AS/RS. This project includes the finished product AS/RS and the after-sales accessory AS/RS for the different storage needs of finished products and after-sales accessories. The finished product AS/RS stores finished electric vehicles and the after-sales accessory AS/RS stores spare parts.
The intelligent and dense AS/RSs customized by Wayzim have increased the outbound efficiency by 30%, decreased the picking manpower by 90%, and reduced the shipment error rate to about 0%. This solution greatly improves the outbound efficiency and accuracy while saving labor costs, and is more conducive to the intelligent transformation and upgrading of the customer, achieving sustainable development.
A highly automated warehousing and logistics system is introduced to realize the automated inbound and outbound operations of about 15,000 electric vehicles every day, which reduces the work intensity of operators and improves picking efficiency.
The automated storage of 100,000 electric vehicles saves a lot of storage space. Through precise space planning and an efficient storage strategy, the solution creates more available space for the customer and enhances the overall value of assets.
For different types of electric vehicles, the system supports multi-deep storage and handling functions. Different types of electric vehicles are stored in aisles with different depths, which ensures that all kinds of vehicles are stored in the most suitable way, significantly improves the inbound and outbound efficiency, and facilitates operations. The first level of the AS/RS is designed with an outbound operation process for incomplete pallets, which can efficiently handle the outbound demand of scattered vehicles.
With the help of automated information systems, the whole logistics process can be monitored and managed in real time. The system can automatically record and update the relevant information for goods inbound and outbound, inventory management, and order processing, to ensure data accuracy. This improvement can not only greatly improve the accuracy of goods information maintenance, but also provide data support for the customer‘s decision-making.
